11-12-08 Grand Theft Arrest

Boise November 12th, 2008 - A Boise man is in custody for stealing several vehicles in Boise.  Boise Police Officers say this kind of arrest highlights  the importance of securing your vehicle when it is unattended.

What happened: Starting in August of this year Boise Police began receiving reports of stolen vehicles in various neighborhoods around Boise. In most of these cases the vehicles had been left unsecured in either a garage or on the street. Detectives believe the suspect would cruise neighborhoods looking for unsecured vehicles that could be easily stolen. Stolen vehicle Incidents:

-On August 18th an SUV was taken from a home on the 2100 block of 32nd.

-On the 25th of September a motorcycle was taken from a home near Five Mile and Victory and an SUV was taken from the same block.

-On the 5th of October a car was stolen from the 9800 block of Westview.

-On November 8th a vehicle was stolen from the 5500 block of Spalding in Boise.

Arrested: Christopher Morgan Teater, 25 years old of Boise
