08-13-08 Drug Trafficking Arrest
Boise, August 13, 2008 - Boise Police patrol officers arrest two individuals for multiple drug related charges yesterday afternoon after a traffic stop on Curtis and Camas in Boise.
Arrested: Benny Dean Campbell, M, 22 years old of Nampa
Charges: Possession of Methamphetamine (F) Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (M), Carrying a Concealed Weapon (M), False Impersonation (M), Parole Violation
Arrested: Kandice Mitchell Ackerman, F, 29 years of age of Boise
Charges: Trafficking (meth) (F), Possession of Cocaine (F), Parole Violation
What Happened: At approximately 2:30 PM on Tuesday, August 12th, a Boise Patrol Officer observed a red Pontiac fail to yield to a stop sign at Curtis and Camas in Boise. The officer stopped the vehicle and identified the driver as Kandice Ackerman, and a passenger, Benny Campbell. Both suspects are currently on Parole.
Officers searched the vehicle and found 51.5 grams of Methamphetamine and .3 grams of Cocaine. Officers also located packaging material and syringes. During the investigation Benny Campbell provided false information about his identity and as a parolee he was in violation of Idaho law carrying a concealed set of brass knuckles in his pocket. Both suspects where arrested on the above charges.
