08-12-08 Shots Fired Investigation

    Boise, August 12, 2008 - Boise Police are investigating reports of shots fired overnight in a West Boise neighborhood.

    Officers were called to the neighborhood of  Iris & Sunflower approx. 2:47 a.m. When officers arrived they found a group of teens who had apparently been at a house party where alcohol was provided. Witnesses say several of those at the house party left the home to walk down the street where a fight was allegedly going to happen. That's when, according to witnesses, several cars, including a black Honda Civic pulled up. The shots reportedly came from someone inside the Civic. Witnesses say they heard three, possibly four shots.

    No one was injured and no damage was done by the shots fired. Officers are still trying to determine exactly where the bullets hit or were aimed as no damage has been found to nearby homes or vehicles.

    Officers did cited seven teens who were reportedly at the house party for Illegal Consumption of Alcohol. The citations will require the teens to appear in juvenile court.

    Officers also cited a woman who lives at the home where the party was, Katrina Latta, 40, with Contributing the the Delinquency of a Minor for allegedly providing the alcohol to the teens.

    Possible Suspect Vehicle: Black Honda Civic , low profile, darkened windows, after market muffler.
