What Happened: Boise Police received a call from a neighbor at approx. 11:43 p.m. Thursday night of a possible fight with shots fired. When officers arrived they found two people, male roommates who live at the home. Witnesses tell officers three men entered the home, and began threatening the victims. Witnesses say the suspects claimed they were searching for money. Officers found no signs of forced entry into the home, and at this time there's no evidence anything was actually taken. The resident of the home tell officers they do not know the identities of the suspects.

As the suspects were leaving, the two residents of the home followed them outside, where a struggle began between the two residents and one of the suspects. The suspect had a handgun and fired several shots during the struggle, one which hit one of the residents in the arm. The other resident reported being hit over the head, he believed with the handgun, suffering a head wound. The residents had a knife and stabbed that suspect in the leg.

The suspect was able to run off. However, officers located him a short time later walking in a nearby apartment complex. Officers also found a weapon in a nearby alley, a handgun that may have been used in the crime.

No further description is available of the two outstanding suspects, although officers continue to follow leads.

Any connection between the victims and suspects is still under investigation.

There's currently no evidence that this crime is related to or connected to any other crime currently under investigation in the city of Boise, however, officers continue to investigate.

No suspect name is available at this time, pending an arrest. For officer and public safety, the location of the potential suspect currently receiving medical treatment is not being released.

A female with an infant was also in the home sleeping at the time of the attempted robbery. However, she was not confronted by the suspects. Neither the female nor the child were injured.
