01-05-08 Man with Gun - Vehicle into House
Boise, Jan 5, 2007 - Boise Police are investigating two unrelated incidents that occurred in the same area overnight on State St.
#1 Man with a Gun: At 1020pm on 1/4/8 two officers made a traffic stop on an Older White SUV at 35th/State St. The driver ran from the vehicle carrying a handgun, and although dozens of officers scoured the area, he is still at large this morning. Officers have a solid lead on who the suspect is, and further information will be available at a later time. The female passenger was able to drive off before assisting officers arrived, and she is also being sought for questioning. The male is described as a Hispanic male in his early 20s, 5'09", 200lbs, short dark hair, wearing a blk hoody and blue jeans. The female is described as a Hispanic female with dark shoulder length hair. Anyone with information is asked to call Crimestoppers at 343-COPS.
#2 SUV into house: At 0153am on 1/5/8 an officer traveling westbound on State St attempted to stop a White SUV traveling towards the Officer at a high rate of speed eastbound at 33rd St, partially in the oncoming lane of traffic. The SUV turned north into a neighborhood area, nearly striking a second officers vehicle before driving off the road and striking a residence in the 1600 blk of N. 29th St. The vehicle was traveling fast enough to scrape along the entire front of the house, taking out the front porch and front door before ending up in some large bushes. Two vehicles ended up not being related, and the driver was taken into custody at the Ada County Jail and charged with DUI and Felony Eluding. He is Identified as Brian Brown - 21yrs old.
