09-26-07 Meth Trafficking Arrests
Boise, Sept. 26, 2007 - Boise Police arrested two men early Tuesday morning and charged both with drug trafficking after marijuana, meth, scales and packaging materials were found during a traffic stop.
Arrested: Neil Shawn Priest, 35, Boise
Charged: Trafficking a Controlled Substance (F), Delivery of a Controlled Substance (F), Driving without privileges (M)
Arrested: Charles J. Burke, 34, Boise
Charged: Trafficking a Controlled Substance (F), Possession of a suspended drivers license (M), Carrying a concealed weapon (M)
What Happened: Early Tuesday morning, about 6:15 a.m. at the intersection of Curtis and Fairview, Boise Police patrol officers made a traffic stop after an officer discovered the car had no registration. Priest was identified as the driver of the car and found to be driving without a valid license. A passenger in the car, Burke, was also arrested when officers discovered he was carrying a drivers license that had been suspended. Officers continued to investigate and with the assistance of a police K9, located drugs in the vehicle. Officers found marijuana and more than two ounces of methamphetamine. Items used to weigh and package drugs were also found in the car. After his arrest, Burke was also found to be carrying brass knuckles.
