Learn about life "behind the badge"!

Law Enforcement Career Fair & Public Safety Day

    Boise, Sept. 5, 2007 - The Boise Police Department will join several other agencies in a Law Enforcement Career Fair and Public Safety Day this Saturday at the Public Safety Building on Barrister. The event is meant to educate folks who are interested in a career in law enforcement. Crime prevention Information will also be available to citizens interested in knowing more about their own personal safety.

    Who: Boise Police and other local law enforcement agencies

    What: Career Fair & Public Safety Day

    Where: BPD/ACSO Public Safety Building, 7200 Barrister (just north of Franklin & Cole)

    When: Saturday, Sept. 8, 2007

    Time: 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.

    Boise Police will have officers on hand to demonstrate some of the many specialties offered by the department, including the Motors Unit, Bomb Squad, SWAT team, and K9 representatives.

    BPD will have hiring specialists ready to talk to those interested in a career in law enforcement. Representatives from other agencies attending the career fair include the Ada County Sheriff's Office, Ada & Canyon County Paramedics, Boise Crime Stoppers, Caldwell, Garden City Police Departments, Idaho Fish & Game, the Idaho Dept. of Corrections, Idaho State Police, St. Alphonsus Life Flight, Snake River Correctional Institution, the U.S. Border Patrol and the U.S. Secret Service.  

    Families will also have the opportunity to get Safe Kids fingerprinting, meet McGruff the Crime Dog, tour the 911 dispatch center and much more!
