Arrest in Arson, Vandalism, Grand Theft Auto,

Boise August 16th 2007, Alert citizens and Boise Police worked together to take two suspects into custody early this morning. At approximately 3:00 AM a citizen called dispatch to report a vehicle burglary in progress on the 4500 block of West Waterfront street. Officers converged on the scene to find multiple crimes. 

Two male individuals at some point early this morning entered a unsecured garage in the neighborhood and stole a car. The vehicle was then driven to Hillside Jr High school at 36th & Hill. Two male suspects unsuccessfully attempted to gain entry into the school. The vehicle was then used to ram two portable classrooms causing serious damage to the buildings. The vehicle was abandoned at the school. The suspects then attempted several vehicle burglaries in the neighborhood by checking door handles and opening unlocked vehicles. At one point they entered a jeep and lit some papers on fire inside the vehicle. That jeep was extensively damaged by the fire. Officers located two suspects near the scene who have been taken into custody on multiple charges. 

Arrested: Anthony L Garcia of Mcallen Texas, 19 years of age

Charges: 2 counts of felony Burglary, 1 count of felony grand theft auto, 1 felony charge of 3rd degree arson, 1 count of felony malicious injury to property, 1 felony charge of attempted burglary, 1 misdemeanor charge of minor consumption

 

Arrested: Dustin James Batch of Boise, 18 years of age

Charges: 2 counts of felony Burglary, 1 count of felony grand theft auto, 1 felony charge of 3rd degree arson, 1 count of felony malicious injury to property, 1 felony charge of attempted burglary, 1 misdemeanor charge of minor consumption
