Update: Body Recovered

UPDATE: Boise, June 28, 2007 - After investigating, Boise Police Detectives have found no evidence of foul play in the death of a woman identified by the Ada County Coroner as Majorie Saizar, 84 of Garden City.

Boise June 8th 2007, Boise Police have recovered what appears to be an elderly female from the Boise river. At approximately noon today officers received a call from citizens reporting what they believed to be a body in the river near 17th and Shoreline. Officers arrived on scene moments later. The body of what appears to be an elderly female has been recovered from the river just under the footbridge at 17th & shoreline.

The greenbelt was re-opened for use shortly after 1 PM today.

At this time there is no reason to believe foul play was involved, however the investigation involving Boise Police Detectives and the Ada County Coroners office continues.

Further information will be released as it becomes available.
