Update: Extortion, Assault Arrest
UPDATE: Boise, May 31, 2007 - Boise Police have arrest two more suspects believed connected to a case of assault, kidnapping, robbery and extortion.
Arrested: Zachary E. Tharp, 18, Boise
Charged: Grant Theft by Extortion, more charges are expected.
Arrested: Joshua R. Osborn, 18, Boise
Charged: Grand Theft By Extortion, Kidnapping, Robbery, Battery with Intent to Commit a Felony
Boise Police arrested Tharp and Osborn this afternoon, thanks to a Crime Stoppers tip that led police to a home in the Morris Hill - Garden Street area. At this time, after several days of investigation, detectives believe they have all the suspects in custody connected to this crime.

Boise, May 29th, 2007 - Boise Police are looking for at least one additional suspect, after two arrests were made in a case involving extortion, assault, robbery and kidnapping.
Arrested: Dexter A. Cadiente, Jr., 20, Boise
Charged: Theft by Extortion, Robbery, Kidnapping, Aggravated Assault, Battery with Intent to Commit a Felony (all felonies)
Arrested: a 17 year old female has also been arrested and faces several charges in connection with this case. Those charges include Conspiracy to Commit Kidnapping, Conspiracy to Commit Robbery, and Conspiracy to Commit Extortion.
What Happened: Boise Police Detectives say the incident began last week when members of a rival street gang beat up the victim, a 20 year old man from Boise. The suspects are also accused of demanding money from the victim for "protection" from future assaults, for holding the victim and his girlfriend in their Northwest Boise apartment while robbing them, and for beating a victim's car with baseball bats.
Boise Police are looking for an additional suspect in connection with this case:
Suspect: Zachary Eugene Tharp, 18, Meridian
Anyone with information on Tharp's whereabouts are urged to call Crime Stoppers at 343-COPS. You can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to an arrest and conviction.
