Cop On A Doughnut Shop
UPDATE: Officers and volunteers raised more than $14,000.00 during the Cop On A Donut Shop event this year. Officer Tim Boudoin says officers delivered more than 200 dozen donuts to charitable citizens durring the event. A special thank you to all those who helped to make this wonderful fund raiser happen.
Boise, April 11, 2007 – This year's Cop-on-Top event promises to be bigger than ever! Once again Boise Police Officer Tim Beaudoin, Firefighter Lance Sellers, and KQFC Radio DJ Cory Mikhals will be camped on top of the Krispy Kreme Donut Shop at 1525 North Eagle Road to raise awareness and money for the athletes of the Idaho Special Olympics.
The three amigos will spend three days camping out on the doughnut shop while other events on the ground support their efforts!
This year's events last from Thursday at 6:00 AM to Saturday evening. All officers are volunteering their time for Special Olympics!
This year's events include:
Thursday 6:00 AM: Cheer on the three amigos as they ascend to the rooftop with the help of Meridian Fire Department
Thursday 6:30 AM -10:00 AM: The Giant Doughnut Delivery starts! Officers in uniform will deliver your doughnuts by the dozen.
Friday 6:30 AM - 10:00 AM: The doughnut delivery continues for the second day.
Friday: Tip-A-Cop at Red Robin. Officers will trade their handcuffs for menus and wait on tables for tips benefiting Special Olympics.
Saturday 12:00 Noon: Riders will parade from the Town Square Mall to Krispy Kreme for a motorcycle show.
Saturday 12:00 Noon: Police and Firefighters will take on the public in a friendly competition "Copstacle" course at Krispy Kreme just for fun!
Saturday: Tip-A-Cop at Red Robin continues. Officers will trade their handcuffs for menus and wait on tables for tips benefiting Special Olympics.
