Stolen Vehicle Arrest

Boise, March 18, 2007 – Boise Police arrested a male suspect last night after a driver of a stolen vehicle crashed into a back yard in the 1500 block of Holly Street.

At approximately 10 pm last night, Ada County Dispatch broadcast information to officers about a vehicle stolen from the 4400 block of W. Clinton Street. A few minutes later, a Boise Police Officer saw a vehicle, matching the description, speeding near BSU. When the officer tried to stop the vehicle, the driver attempted to elude the officer. The driver drove recklessly through Municipal Park, and the officer discontinued attempting to catch up. A short time later, a citizen called to report that the vehicle had crashed into a back yard on Holly Street.

The suspect then fled on foot. After an extensive area search by officers and numerous citizen reported sightings, the driver was eventually located by officers, hiding in some bushes in the 1000 block of Warm Springs Avenue. He was arrested on numerous charges.
