Arrests in Cocaine Trafficking

      Boise, Feb 7, 2007 - Boise Police have arrested three people who detectives describe as "prominent cocaine dealers", after a five month undercover investigation that also netted a large quantity of cocaine and cash.

      Arrested: Brandy S. Lynch, 27, Boise

      Charged: Three counts of Trafficking in Controlled Substance, Cocaine

      Arrested: Leonard P. Speed, 36, Boise

      Charged: Three counts of Trafficking in Controlled Substance, Cocaine

      Arrested: Tomas Alvarez, 48, Boise

      Charged: One count of Trafficking in Controlled Substance, Cocaine

      Background: Boise Police Narcotics Detectives developed a lead and began their investigation five months ago. Last night search warrants were served at 3 homes:

  • 12000 blk. Delmar, Boise
  • 9900 blk. Mesquite, Boise
  • 2200 blk. Annett, Boise

      The three suspects listed above were arrested last night. Over the course of the five month investigation officers recovered $16,000 in cash and 470 grams of cocaine. Officers say the estimated street value of the cocaine is approx. $47,000.

      Mandatory sentencing on each charge is 5 years and $15,000.
