Marijuana Trafficking Arrests
Boise, Dec. 07, 2006 - Boise Police Narcotics detectives arrested two men Wednesday and charged them with trafficking marijuana. The arrests come after a large amount of the drug and cash was found by officers in the suspects home.
What Happened: Officers investigating drug deals learned that marijuana may be being sold out of a home on the 2400 blk. of Mountain View. Officers obtained a search warrant for the home with the assistance of the Ada County Metro Task Force. The warrant was served at approx. 11:00 a.m. Wednesday. Searching the home, officers found:
- 25 pounds of marijuana packaged for sale, with a street value estimated at $150,000.
- $25,000 in cash.
Both men arrested are residents of the home.
Arrested: James E. Johnson, 48, Boise
Arrested: Geoff A. Maestas, 32, Boise
Both Charged: Trafficking in a Controlled Substance
