False Report Charges Filed

False Report Charges Filed

Boise - December 19, 2006 - The Boise City prosecutor has filed a summons for a Boise man to appear in court on charges of Resisting and Obstructing Officers. Specifically, the charge relates to filing a false police report in connection with what was initially reported as a battery on the greenbelt behind the BSU campus Thursday Nov. 9th.

    Charged: Alex McGillis, 20, Boise - Resisting and Obstructing, Filing a False Police Report

The summons was issued November 30th by city prosecutors. The summons orders McGillis to appear in Magistrate Court no later than Jan. 10th on the charge.

Filing a False Police report is a misdemeanor, with a maximum penalty of $1000 fine and one year in jail.
