Arrest in Bank Robbery
Boise, Dec. 14, 2006 - 5:46 p.m. - Boise Police have arrested a man and charged him with Robbery in connection with a bank robbery this afternoon on the Bench.

Charged: 1 ct. Robbery
What Happened: Officers were called the Key Bank at Orchard and Overland at 3:11p.m. Witnesses said a man walked into the bank, handed a teller a note threatening a weapon and demanding money. The man walked out of the bank with an undisclosed amount of cash. A witness spotted the suspect getting into a small yellow sedan.
Curt Crum, of the Boise Police Crime Prevention Unit had responded to the area to help in the search for the suspect. He spotted an older yellow sedan pull quickly out of a parking lot on the southeast corner of Orchard & Franklin. Crum noticed the driver of the car and the vehicle matched the description of the robbery suspect. Crum followed the car a short distance until a patrol officer in a marked patrol car could stop the vehicle at Emerald & Marshall. The suspect was then taken into custody for questioning and later arrested.
Crum returned to the parking lot at Orchard & Franklin, where he found a red hooded sweatshirt, also matching the clothing worn by the robbery suspect, in a dumpster behind a dry cleaning shop. Further investigation found the suspect had just bought flowers at the adjacent flower shop using a $50 bill that officers believe was taken in the robbery.
