Officer's Motor Slides Beneath School Bus
Boise, Nov. 14, 2006 - A Boise Police Motor Officer was involved in a minor accident this morning when his motorcycle slid beneath a school bus.
It happened at 7:25 a.m. on Linden in front of White Pine Elementary. The officer was following the school bus when the bus slowed for a speed bump. That's when the officer says he applied his brakes but the motorcycle slipped on wet reflective crosswalk paint and wet pavement. The officer laid the bike on it's side and it slid beneath the bus. No children on the bus were injured. The officer was also not injured. Damage to the school bus is estimated at approx. $50. Damage to the motorcycle is estimated at approx. $300.
At this time, no citations have been issued, but the investigation continues.
