Vehicle Burglars In Custody
Boise, October 30, 2006 - Boise Police arrested four teenagers early Sunday morning for allegedly breaking into as many as 18 cars in the North End/ near North End neighborhood overnight.
At approximately 12:30 a.m. Sunday, officers responded to the neighborhood near the 2200 blk. of Woodlawn after two people reported their car window had been broke out and their vehicle burglarized while it was parked on the street. The victims had also seen a possible suspect vehicle, a light blue 1980's Subaru wagon leave the area.
Officer Brian Jones began searching the area and found the suspect vehicle near 28th and Jefferson. Inside the vehicle officers recovered more than $3,000 worth of stolen property, including 2 X-Box machines, a Sony Playstation, hockey gear, a dome tent, CD's, car stereos and stereo speakers. Also found in the vehicle was a pipe and other items that could be used as burglary tools. Officers took 4 people into custody, three Juvenile males and one adult male.
Officers are attempting to match the stolen items to citizens who reported their cars had been broken into, or to other victims found by police during their investigation.
