Boise, Sept. 29, 2006 - Boise Police arrested two men last night after they harassed, fired a shot at, and chased two teens near the Boise Towne Square Mall.

Arrested: Eric Jason Hansen, 24, Boise

Charged: 2 cts. Aggravated Assault, 1 ct. Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon, Use of a firearm during the Commission of a Felony, (M) Drug Possession

Both Isolato and Hansen are in the Ada County Jail on $250,000 bond.

What Happened: Police were called to the Boise Towne Square Mall shortly after 6:00 p.m. last night when a 17 year old boy reported that two men had fired a gun  toward him and his younger sister and chased them into the mall. The boy told police he and his younger sister were walking to the mall in the area of Milwaukee and Franklin when two men in a car yelled a lewd comment at the girl. The boy defended her and a short exchange of words followed. The car drove off, but turned around, driving back up to the teens. At that time, both the driver of the car (Isolato) and the passenger (Hansen) displayed handguns. The passenger fired a shot into the air. Officers later found a shell casing at the location. The teens then ran into the mall. When the boy saw the two men follow them inside, still apparently carrying their weapons, he urged his sister to hide in the restroom, called a family member to come pick them up, and called police.

Officers responding to the mall Code 3 (with lights and sirens) saw the suspect vehicle driving quickly away. During a short pursuit down Cole Rd., the suspects ran a red light and crossed briefly into oncoming traffic. Officers stopped the vehicle on Preece Rd. where the two men inside were arrested. During a search of the men's car after arrest, officers found marijuana and prescription drugs.

Officers do have evidence that the men did indeed carry the weapons into the mall, however the weapons have not been recovered at this time.
