Dangerous Suspect In Custody

Boise August 14th, -2006- A dangerous fugitive is in custody tonight thanks to a citizen tip which led the Metro Task Force and Boise Police Officers to his location. At approximately 3:00 PM Patrol officers took Patrick Zacharias into custody in the area of Boise Ave and Pennsylvania streets. Numerous agencies including the Boise Metro Task Force, Boise Police Detectives and numerous other agencies have been working tirelessly to locate Zacharias since the incident with started the search on August 8th. Zacharias faces charges of lewd conduct with a minor. Any additional charges will be determined by the Ada County prosecuting attorneys Office. It is this type of citizen cooperation and effort that helps to make our community a safer place.

 

Background:

 

Tuesday August 8th at approximately 6:42 PM dispatch received a call from a home on the 3100 block of South Apple street. A minor girl, under the age of 11 stated that she had let the suspect, who was known to her, into her home. He then attempted to force himself upon her. She was able to get away from the suspect and ran to the neighbors house where they called police. The victim identified the suspect as Patrick Zacharias, 33 years old of Boise.
