Highlands School Suspicious Activity

Boise, 3;30 p.m., May 11, 2006 – Boise Police are investigating a report of suspicious activity near Highlands Elementary at Curling and Bogus Basin Road.

Officers took a report this morning from two young boys who say a man in a red car followed, then chased them on their way to school. The man never said anything to the boys. The boys immediately reported the incident when they arrived at school this morning.

What Happened: The two boys say they were walking to school on Thornberry Street when a man driving a red car drove past them, then turned around and began following them. The boys ran down a trail behind a home that ended above a golf course. They say the man got out of his vehicle and chased them a short distance, but did not follow them down the embankment.

Suspect Vehicle: The suspect vehicle is described as a smaller, dented, red, boxy 4-door with Ada County plates. The dents are in the drivers side door.

Suspect Description: The suspect is described as a darker skinned male with black hair over his ears, in his 30's, 150 - 160 lbs., clean shaven, wearing a long sleeve grey short sleeve shirt, jeans and black tennis shoes.
