Cop - Donut Shop

Cop - Donut Shop

Boise, April 12, 2006 – Once again this year, Boise Police Officer Tim Beaudoin will be camped on top of the Krispy Kreme Donut Shop to raise awareness and money for the athletes of the Idaho Special Olympics.

Officer Beaudoin has already raised $655 for Special Olympics after being “auctioned off” for a date this morning on KQFC radio. The date will be with a Special Olympian Friday night on top of the donut shop, catered by Red Robin!

While Officer Beaudoin is the “Cop on Top of the Donut Shop”, other Officers will be raising funds for Special Olympics at several events on the ground, including the annual Tip-A-Cop event at all local Red Robin restaurants!

Thursday, Friday and Saturday, officers will trade their patrol cars for menus as they wait tables collecting tips for Special Olympics. Officers will also be working at Krispy Kreme serving and boxing donuts, working the drive-thru window and soliciting donations from warm-hearted donut loving patrons.

All officers are volunteering their time for Special Olympics!

Thanks - in advance - to any media coverage to help raise awareness for this wonderful cause.

To coordinate media coverage of any of the following events, please contact Tam Baker with Special Olympics - 724-2106, Boise Police Capt. Jim Kerns - 850-5211.
