Boise, March 27, 2006 - Boise Police are hoping someone saw a man running northbound on Orchard from Overland (past the Walgreen's), shortly after 2:00 p.m. today that could help identify a suspect from this afternoon's bank robbery.

Police were called after a man robbed the Key Bank on the 4900 block of Overland at approx. 2:05 p.m.

Witnesses tell detectives the man walked into the bank carrying a handgun, demanded money, and ran northbound from the bank on Orchard toward Kootenai.

The suspect is described as a white male between 5'8" and 6' tall, medium build, wearing a dark colored ski-type mask, light blue jacket, grey or faded black jeans and white tennis shoes.

The area around Orchard and Overland is very busy with traffic during the afternoon. Officers are urging anyone who may have seen someone running northbound on Orchard from Overland, or who may have any more information about the crime to call Crime Stoppers at 343-COPS.
