Patrol Car Incident
Boise, February 3, 2006 – Boise Police are looking into a reported incident involving a patrol car and a pedestrian.
The incident occurred at approx. 7:15 Thursday morning in front of the Barrister PD headquarters. It was initially reported that a moving patrol car, pulling out of a driveway at a very slow speed, driven by an on duty officer, had hit a pedestrian in the crosswalk.
The officer involved says he did not believe he had run into anyone. The reporting party is a male inmate involved in the Ada County Work Release Program. The inmate reported no injuries. Regardless, paramedics were called to assess his condition. He again stated he was not injured.
Both Boise Police and Ada County began in investigation into the incident. The incident occurred in an area where work release inmates often congregate prior to their daily assignments.
